Learn how to patchwork, starting from the beginning!
This is a four week (8 hour) course teaching how to use a sewing machine, rotary cutter and mat and how to sew together a variety of patchwork blocks. You will get more confident at sewing more challenging blocks over the weeks and cutting and sewing at different angles. You will become hooked! By the end of the course you will have enough blocks to put together a sampler quilt. If you want to, you can choose to carry on and learn quilting skills and turn your blocks into a finished project.
The classes will be held at my shop 'Sew Tea and Coffee'. 11 Keptie Street. Arbroath. There are several different sessions to choose from. Please select the day and time slot you would like to join and I will contact you to confirm your start date. In most cases this will be the next week after booking.
Classes are limited to 4 people so I can give plenty of support to each student.
Skill level - complete beginner!
The price for the class includes:
- use of a sewing machine and any other tools and thread needed
- Instructions to keep on file for each block we cover, each week.
- a hot drink from the cafe
The price does not cover fabric. I do, of course, have loads in the shop and you can buy on the day or top up as you go, throughout the course. I will also send out a list of fabric requirements when you order so you have the option of buying elsewhere or bringing what you have.
A PDF will be sent to you after ordering with any extra details you will need for the class such as how to find us!
