Planets Quilt Workshop

This is a simple and fun to piece, scrap quilt. The blocks are very open to you adding your own style. It is sewn on a kind of 'decide as you go' basis in terms of colour and placement. Its simple enough for beginners to tackle but does teach you some simple curved piecing for the background.

The block itself works brilliantly as cushion tops or a bag front and the technique could be adapted to piece more complex 'planets'

The sewing machine, all the paper templates and equipment needed is provided but you will need to bring your own fabrics. Its a scrap quilt so bring along scraps on the day. There are also some scrap bags to buy in the shop. You will also need some background fabric which you can bring or buy on the day.

You will be given a copy of the pattern to take away with you and continue at home.

The class is four hours so plenty of time to make a good start if you want to make the whole quilt or perhaps to complete a cushion top. There are options to buy some lunch locally if you want to.
